02 — The Prayas Story
From a workshop in Dadar to the city's skyline.

Prayas began in 2008 with three engineers, a leased workshop, and an old idea: that construction is a craft, not an output. The first commission was a single floor of a Bandra residence — finished four months early, ten percent under budget, and still standing without a service call.
Eighteen years on, the workshop is now a 64-person studio that has delivered forty-two buildings across Mumbai and Pune. The team has grown, the work has scaled, but the founding bargain has not changed: the principal signs every drawing, walks every site, and answers every call.
We do not chase volume. We choose the buildings we want to be remembered for.
03 — Our Construction Philosophy
We build for the people not yet in the room.
Most construction is written for the moment of handover. Ours is written for the third owner — the family that has never met us, inheriting a building that still performs as drawn. That single change of audience reorders every decision: the steel we specify, the joints we detail, the silence we engineer into walls.
A mission statement is a sentence. A philosophy is a hundred small refusals.

2012
First residential tower. Halcyon I delivered four months ahead of schedule in Bandra West.
2016
Engineering studio formed. Structural and façade design brought in-house. End of subcontracted thinking.
2019
Civic infrastructure mandate. Awarded our first coastal span — a turning point in scale and rigour.
2022
Two million square feet. Across 38 completed builds. Zero litigation. Zero safety-related stoppages.
2026
The next century. A research arm dedicated to low-carbon concrete and passive climate design.

Our sites run on a published operating manual — the same one in Bandra as in Worli. Daily toolbox briefings, third-party structural audits, and a fall-arrest standard above national code. Excellence is what discipline looks like when no one is watching.
